We refer to the Text Us" message "Unreasonable charge for top-up" from RK Sharma of Petaling Jaya (The Star, Jan 24). We would like to point out that we do not impose any surcharge for Touch 'n Go card reloads at all of our reload points. These surcharges are levied by our reload agents.
In addition, we have provided options for our customers to reload their Touch 'n Go cards without surcharge at over 500 reload points, including at Touch 'n Go hubs. Touch 'n Go SPOTs located along major highways, Touch 'n Go self-service kiosks. 99 Speedmart outlets and Watsons and Caring pharmacies. Customers can find a complete listing of places to reload Touch ‘n Go cards (without surcharge) at https://www.touchngo.com.my/consumer/toll/card/reload-your-card/.
We would also like to inform our customers that they can reload their Touch 'n Go cards with a minimum of RM10 and a maximum of RM500 in the standard denominations of RM10, RM20, RM50, RM100. RM150, RM200 and RM500. For everyone's benefit, when customers reload their cards, Touch 'n Go pays the reload agents a fee. As such, not only do we not impose a surcharge on customers, but every time a card is reloaded, it also becomes a cost to Touch ‘n Go.
