Touch ‘n Go Group Reinforces its Commitment to the Lembah Pantai Community in conjunction with Hari Raya

Touch ‘n Go Group reinforced its commitment to the Lembah Pantai community this Ramadan by providing support for those in need for their Hari Raya preparations. The Group contributed RM30,000 in the form of shopping vouchers to 80 needy individuals comprising B40 families within Lembah Pantai, some of them being single mothers.  Each beneficiary received RM300 to spend on shopping in preparation for the Hari Raya celebration.

Together with the Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament’s Office, the Group hosted a shopping trip at a major shopping mall for 30 of the beneficiaries to shop for their Hari Raya outfits.   Gracing the occasion was YB Fahmi Fadzil, Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament, who is also the Minister of Communications, accompanied by Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer, Praba Sangarajoo. Also present were Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd Chief Corporate Development Officer, Lum Joy Deng, Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd Chief Information Officer, Mohd Sharizan Harun; as well as TNG Digital Sdn Bhd Chief Operations Officer, Mohd Herman Sarbini. Volunteers from Touch ‘n Go Group were also on hand to assist the beneficiaries with their shopping.

Commenting on Touch ‘n Go’s festive contribution, Praba said, “We are honoured to collaborate with YB Fahmi Fadzil and his team in bringing Hari Raya cheer to the needy community within Lembah Pantai.  Being a long-time resident of Lembah Pantai, we have fostered strong ties with the communities around us, and we are pleased to be able to support them in this meaningful way.  We hope our contribution will help ease their burdens and add cheer during this festive season. We would also like to wish the beneficiaries and their families a blessed and joyous Hari Raya Aidilfitri.”

YB Fahmi Fadzil said, “As a valued member of the Lembah Pantai community, Touch ‘n Go Group has been dedicated in supporting the underprivileged communities and spreading festive cheer within Lembah Pantai through the years. I would like to record my sincere appreciation to Praba and the Touch ‘n Go Group for their ongoing care and concern towards the well-being of the Lembah Pantai community. This contribution towards new clothes and other Raya necessities will certainly support and uplift the needy families within the community in their Hari Raya preparations and celebration.”  

The Touch ‘n Go Group has fostered a strong spirit of community and contributed in various ways to the communities within Lembah Pantai during the Ramadan and Hari Raya festive seasons.  These include hosting iftar meals at the mosque, as well as contributing towards the preparation and distribution of bubur lambuk, with employees of the Group volunteering their time to help with preparations. The Group has also provided infaq boxes (charity boxes) for especially needy families.
